The Discover section is designed to help you find great new music. The page is split into two sections: Featured Music and New Artists.

Featured Music

Each week, the Featured Music Program showcases songs by artists who support the distribution of their music on Napster. You can expand your musical horizons by searching for these music files, listening, and telling your friends about them.

How does it work?

Browse the Featured Music section. If something catches your eye, learn a little more by reading the description. Click the link to the artist's website for more detail. When you're ready to listen, click the track name or the graphic to search the Napster Community for that music file. Napster will take you automatically to the Search area.

Note: If you're viewing featured music on the Napster website or with a pre-Beta 7 version of Napster, you won't be able to search for a featured artist on the Napster network just by clicking a link. You can still learn about showcased artists and music, but to search for a music file, you'll need to open the Napster program, go to the Search area, and type the artist and/or track name.

New Artists

Napster's New Artists Program lets aspiring musicians share their music and lets their fans find new music and share it with one another.

How does it work?

The New Artists Program lets you find the best up-and-coming music either by typing an artist name in the search box, or by browsing a list of genres.

To search, type the name of an artist or, to find new artists who sound similar, type the names of your favorite bands.

I'm an emerging artist. How can the New Artists Program help me?

By creating a profile at Napster, you can make your music available to the largest online community of music lovers ever.

Here's what else you can do in the New Artists section of our website:

1. Fans can find new music by browsing artists' profiles, searching by artist name, and searching by artists with similar styles.
2. If you're an unsigned artist, you can create a profile and submit it to our searchable database.
3. We've assembled a host of resources to help artists promote themselves through the Napster Community.
